"It only got better that morning. A mist of rain that started at dawn, quickly turned into a light snow as the temperature dropped below freezing. We had 50 or 60 major tolls of ducks over the decoys. With an impending snowstorm in the making, the ducks knew they had to feed or risk seeing their breakfast covered in snow. The shooting was so good we quickly began to take turns, each hunter allowed just one shot. If he missed, another man got to back him up. Within an hour we had our limit comprised mostly of mallards, one pintail, one gadwall and three specklebelly geese as a bonus."
